Lawmakers propose taxing dealers and manufacturers of guns, ammunition to fund Maryland trauma system
Maryland legislators have put forward the Comprehensive Community Safety Funding Act as a means to impose taxes on gun dealers and manufacturers involved in the production of firearms and ammunition. The revenue generated from this tax is estimated to amount to $13 million, which will be allocated towards supporting the state’s trauma system.
