AG: Former state employee pleads guilty of misusing COVID-era PPE funds
James W. DiPino and his brother Paul J. DiPino Jr. were convicted of bribery charges related to the misuse of state COVID-19 funds designated for PPE purchase. They were sentenced to one year and one day in prison and had to forfeit assets worth $2.6 million acquired through misappropriated PPE funding. AB Medical was directed to restitute $3 million to the state and received a fine.
